It’s been a while but I have a good reason.  We have been gearing up for the birth of our son and I have spent every free moment this last month taking things down from the attic and washing baby clothes all in preparation for this little baby.  He made his grand entrance into the world at 39 weeks and 1 day last Wednesday morning, May 9th.   His delivery was a breeze and he is perfect.

I stayed in the hospital the full time to get some much needed bonding time with Nolan. We sprung out of the hospital a night early with Elena but this time I decided to take advantage of the peace and quiet in order to come home with a little rest.  We arrived home on Friday and Cameron and Elena thought the baby in the car seat was hysterical- and both can’t keep their hands off him.  It’s the cutest! But literally a full time job to keep Nolan safe from their little pulls and pokes.  So far Elena is looking for some extra loving and I sense a bit of jealousy but Cameron has adjusted really well and wants to protect and hold his new baby brother.  So sweet!

My mom just packed up and headed back to Boston as I write this post.  I have a bit of panic setting in as I wonder how the hell I’m going to do this by myself tonight.  But really, I think I was more nervous when I went from 1 to 2.  The house will be a mess, we might have PBJ for dinner more often, but everyone of us is going to be happy and healthy as we adjust to a family with 3 under 3.

My projects of the week for you all: I am busting at the seams with newborn, postpartum, and breastfeeding info, as well as lots of questions for other moms.  I think this week I’ll be ready to start sharing my blog and use Instagram to start some conversations with other moms.  Stay tuned!
